Nocturnal Adoration Society

The Nocturnal Adoration Society is a brotherhood of men, women and children, that gather together monthly to make Adoration prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist (Most Holy Sacrament); and that consecrate a special DEVOTION to Him, by way of Reparatory Adoration at night.


The Adoration is Nocturnal because:

  • At night, Jesus is alone in the Tabernacle.
  • At night, He is offended most grievously.
  • At night, more men can attend Church.
  • In the solitude of night, Nocturnalists, in the name of all mankind, can easily elevate their hearts to God.


Purposes:

The Nocturnal Adoration Society has a threefold purpose:

  • To provide a fervent response to Christ’s invitation to keep prayerful vigil with Him (Mathew 26, 38-40; Mark 14, 37-38; Luke 22, 40-46).
  • To deepen the experience of communion with Christ Eucharistic, as He continues His Self-offering and saving influence.
  • To live more consciously and actively the full significance of the Eucharist as the Sacrament of charity and unity for the church and the world.  (Statutes of the NAS nos. 4-6)


Activities:

  • We praise our Lord Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist every First Saturday of the month, after the Vigil Mass and until 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
  • Study and reflection of the Bible is conducted, in Spanish, at 7 p.m. on Fridays.


Sociedad de la Adoración Nocturna

La Adoración Nocturna es una sociedad de hombres, mujeres y niños que se reúnen mensualmente a hacer Oración de Adoración a nuestro Señor Jesucristo realmente Presente en la Eucaristía (Santísimo Sacramento), que consagran DEVOCION especial a Jesucristo Sacramentado, mediante la Adoración Reparadora en la noche.


La Adoración es Nocturna porque:

  • De noche, Jesús está solo en el Sagrario
  • De noche se le ofende más gravemente
  • Los hombres pueden acudir al Templo.
  • En la quietud de la noche, los hombres, en nombre de toda la humanidad, pueden fácilmente elevar su corazón a Dios.

 

Propósitos:

La Adoración Nocturna tiene un Triple Propósito:

  • Proveer una respuesta ferviente a la invitación de Jesús de permanecer vigilantes en oración con EL (Mateo 26, 38-40; Marcos 14, 37-38; Lucas 22, 40-46).
  • Profundizar la experiencia de la comunión con Jesús Eucaristía, mientras EL continua su propio ofrecimiento e influencia salvífica.
  • Vivir más conscientemente y activamente el significado completo de la Eucaristía como el Sacramento de la caridad y unidad para la Iglesia y el mundo. (Estatutos de la SAN Nos. 4-6)


Actividades:

  • Adoración a Jesús Eucaristía: Primer sábado de cada mes de 5 —12 p.m.
  • Estudio y reflexión de la Sagrada Escritura viernes 7 p.m. en español.
